Alice's Adventures at The Royal Danish Ballet

The Royal Danish Ballet stages its premiere run of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with 20 performances from 3-22 December 2016. Christopher Wheeldon's adaptation of the classic Lewis Carroll story features an acclaimed original score by Joby and lavish designs by Bob Crowley. Commissioned jointly by The Royal Ballet and National Ballet of Canada and premiered in 2011, the work has since been taken on by the Royal Swedish Ballet and is also set to be staged by the Bayerisches Staatsballett and the Australian Ballet in 2017.

Chroma at The Royal Ballet

Chroma, Joby's first collaboration with Wayne McGregor, will be presented as part of a triple bill by its originating company, The Royal Ballet, in collaboration with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in celebration of McGregor's tenth year as Resident Choreographer. The 2006 work is choreographed to original pieces by Joby alongside his arrangements of songs by The White Stripes. There are five performances from 12-19 November.

The Winter's Tale at The Royal Ballet

The company on whom Christopher Wheeldon created this acclaimed ballet adaptation of Shakespeare's play revives the work in fifteen performances from 12 April. Joby's score includes an onstage band composed of instruments from a variety of global folk traditions, creating a sound that is both new and timeless. Orchestre National de Lyon to play excerpt from The Winter's Tale

The Orchestre National de Lyon will present Springtime Festival, an excerpt from the second act of Joby's score for The Winter's Tale, as part of a programme including Rachmaninov and Prokofiev, on 18 and 19 December at L'Auditorium de Lyon.

Path of Miracles in Dublin

Máire Keary-Scanlon will lead choral group Caminantes in a performance of Path of Miracles, Joby's 2005 a cappella work describing the latter stages of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain.

The performance will take place at Christ Church Cathedral Dublin and the piece lasts for one hour. More details can be found here.
