Joby’s 2015 one-act opera Everest returns to Theater Hagen for three performances in September and October. Gene Scheer’s libretto relates events on the famous peak during a fateful 1996 climbing expedition on which several mountaineers died in a perfect storm of unexpected weather, human error and hubris.
